There is huge demand for medical, technical and higher education in India. As compared to demand , overall number of quality educational institutions are very low. This leads to unethical practices from some of the institutes.
Students always try to get admission to their dream institute by any means. This leads to huge demand for some of the courses. Charging capitation for non merit list student is norm for some of the institutes. This is going to be changed soon.
As India is going to bring education bill related to charging capitation fee. (Ref: http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/NEWS/India/Four-education-reform-bills-tabled-in-Lok-Sabha/articleshow/5887840.cms) This would definitely help to reduce corruption of education sector. IF we consider institute side story, some institute use such fund to build infrastructure of the education and indirectly it helps students to have better infrastructure for education.
Government should also have rules and regulations about raising funds for the education institutes so that they would be able to provide good ambience for the education to the student.
Use of technology in education, having transparent admission process would help to support such initiatives
Such education bill would change lives of many Indians, what do you think about this bill ?
Indian education sector is opening up new avenues as we move on. Multiple opportunities, many competitors coming in this segment. Question arises about building brand and communicating with students, attracting talented students to relevant course of their choice.
We tried to analyze current budgets of the institute and how scenario is going to change

|News Paper Advertisement||Educational institutes allocates lot of budget to print media based advertisement||Target youth of India is moving towards internet, news paper based advertisement is going to get less attention in the future.|
|Seminar, Road Show||Institutes conduct seminars in 5 star hotels, seminar halls. Conversion rate is low and student acquisition cost is high in this case.||Institutes will start conducting online webinars, online discussions. It will be the way to interact with students|
|Franchise Management||Institutes have multiple franchises, training centers to sell application forms. But tracking mechanism, conversion rate of students is missing. Institutes do not get clear picture of pre admission, admission process.||Centralized way to track student interaction, student interest, no leakage of revenue in terms of application forms fee. Better student acquisition and huge cost savings.|
|Customer Centric Approach||Student as customer approach is missing in the current context. Delay, misplacement is application form creates confusion among students||Institutes would be customer centric. Usage of technology would be high. Prospective students would get better service.|
We interacted with several students, MBA aspirants. Still there are various confusions, queries about how to evaluate institute.
Following are some of points to remember while applying to the institute. This would vary based on type of course, university, education level (higher education, under graduation).

|4||Number of Visiting Faculty from Industry||10%||Practical exposure and industry knowledge helps to understand subjects in better way. Institutes having more visiting faculty can be better for professional education.|
|5||Extra Curricular Events||10%||Such activities help to develop managerial view, task and event management skills to the students.|

5. Transparent Admission Process:

In case if admission process is not transparent then you might gets idea of quality of students getting in for the course. In case of any education peer learning is most crucial aspect which is ignored by the institute as well as student.
Student should always check about their peer groups, classmates and based on it, quality of peer learning takes proper direction.
