Why Continuous communication is important during Admission Process

Admission season is back for schools, Management institutes along with some of the post graduation courses. Anxiety among stGoGreen2 students and parents increases with each step of admission process. For some of the institutes there is stiff competition as number of applicants are in large number compared to total available seats. Admission process involves multiple steps such as inviting applications, shortlisting first round candidates for selection, actual admission process, second round shortlisting etc.

 

Form Submission Process
It is important that institute communicate with students , parents on continuous basis so that everyone would be aware of status of the admission for the individual.When Application form is submitted and online payment process is completed by the candidate , an automated email/ sms should be sent to the candidate about confirmation of the application reception.
In some cases candidate sends demand draft or Challan copy to institute or at admission center after filling online form. In such case email/sms notification is essential to convey reception of demand draft or Challan copy.

In the centralized admission process, admission team scrutinizes application form of the applicant and if there is any error or missing document then it should be conveyed through sms. After admission form processing is over, institute need to convey about first round shortlisting to the applicant. Some of the institutes display list on online/ offline notice board. However in order to reduce anxiety institute should send sms and email to individual applicant. Such communication helps applicant to make travel arrangements to travel to institute and confirm his/her admission.

Admission Vacancy Position:
In case of centralized admission process admission committee displays list of vacancy for the subsequent rounds. It is better to communicate it over internet and email/sms. Individual college/institute vacancy should be displayed so that candidate can get the idea of admission prospect for the next round.
